Be Still & Know Silent Retreat
February 24-26
The idea of a silent retreat is quite simple: you go somewhere relatively quiet and don’t talk — from Friday evening until Sunday morning. In addition, most other artificial sounds — radio, TV, music, and so on — are also avoided.
What is the point of going without words for a few days? You get to hear yourself think and you make space to hear the voice of God.
What will I do all day? You can take a walk, take a nap, have a cup of coffee on the front porch, or do an art project that will be made available.
A simple devotional guide for the weekend will be given out Friday night. Led by Carol McEntyre. If you are curious, contact Carol at 246-4661 or cmcentyre@fbcknox.org.
