Reception Honoring Dr. And Mrs. Randall O’Brien

Flower Committee
The Flower Committee will meet on Wednesday, February 18 at 5:00 pm in the Money Class. All current members and those who have an interest in becoming part of this group are invited to attend. A brief business meeting will be followed by a flower arranging demonstration. Contact Sydnor Money, 966-3375 or Karen Smith, 384-1676 with questions. There is a need for more bud vases for our hospital ministry. Please bring them to the flower room off the Mones Sunday School class or to the reception area on the third floor.
AARP Tax-Aide
Free tax assistance (Form 1040) for senior citizens and low-income persons is available at seven locations in Knoxville and Knox County: South Knoxville Senior Center; Central Baptist Church, Bearden; Burlington, Halls and Farragut Branch Libraries; Powell Presbyterian Church. Call 865-521-5569 between 9 am and 3 pm Monday through Friday for an appointment. Walk-in assistance is available at the
O’ Conner Senior Citizen Center each Wednesday, 9 am to 3 pm. No appointment is necessary. Electronic filing is available at all sites. Persons wishing to receive help at any site should bring their last year’s return and all information (including W-2′s, 1099′s, SSA1099′s, or RRB1099′s) for 2008.
Young Musicians Choir Performs King of the Jungle
The Young Musicians Choir will perform King of the Jungle on Sunday, February 22. There will be lunch in Trentham Hall at 12 noon, followed by the musical. Mark your calendar and make plans to attend.
Saints Alive! Lunch and Historical Center Tour
On Thursday, February 26, at 11:30 am, lunch will be served in Trentham Hall. At 12:30 pm, we will leave for the East Tennessee Historical Center for a guided tour. Van rides are available from the parking lot of the church. Cost of lunch is $5, and the cost of the tour is $3. Pellissippi Sacred Choral Concert at FBC
