Dave Ward is originally from Edenton, North Carolina, but has called Knoxville home for over 50 years. Dave and his wife, Jo, love to travel both nationally and internationally. They have two sons and eight grandchildren. Dave collects shaving mugs, mustache cups, and letter openers. He is also an avid gardener and says sharing the flowers he grows with others is the best part. Dave began serving at First Baptist in 1964, and says the key to his long ministry is the advice he often shares, “Love the people, but let the people love you.”
