Season of Prayer for North American Missions: Johnathan Keaton
FBC’s own Johnathan Keaton (son of Reggie & Sally and brother to Brad & Thomas) is Community Catalyst, Teaching and Prayer Pastor at Bridge Community Church in New York City. The church’s mission is to connect, equip, and mobilize people with the gospel to the glory of God. In Queensbridge, there are people from all different walks of life, ages, colors, and nationalities. However, there is also a divide between these groups of people. Wealthy businessmen and women share the sidewalk with the homeless, and young professionals in high-rise apartments live blocks from families in the housing projects. The church's name was chosen from the desire to Bridge the Community and connect these people through truly following Jesus, which leads to a community where all people are equal.
Prayer Focus – Pray that God would send His Spirit, and the church would see many place their faith in Christ alone. Pray for God to give the Christians boldness in sharing the gospel. Pray that they would make disciples that make disciples within their church. Pray for unity among their church family and for favor with those in their neighborhood. Season of Prayer for North American Missions
During the pandemic, our missionaries display great courage and vision to persist – and even thrive – amid great challenges. When needs in local communities arise, these missionaries step up to bring material help and eternal hope by the grace and power of God. Lives are changed, and you are a significant part of that when you pray and give. Thank you! As our missionaries change course, innovate, and share the gospel, please continue to help them move the mission forward. WMU encourages you to use the Prayer Guides for North American Missions during your personal prayer time and to give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Offering for Global Missions. Our goal is $20,000. Annie Armstrong Prayer Guide or Global Missions Prayer Guide
