Season of Prayer for North American Missions: Missions Discipleship

Posted by First Baptist on

WMU’s unwavering focus is making disciples of Jesus who live on mission. Missions discipleship empowers us to become more effective witnesses in our world. When we explore current mission efforts around the world, delve into the biblical mandate for missions, and become personally involved, we clearly see our responsibility to take the gospel to the nations. Missions discipleship is for everyone — from preschoolers to adults. You’re invited to discover an active, authentic faith through our biblically sound learning opportunities and meaningful mission experiences. Explore these resources for preschool, children, youth, and adults; read blogs; view mission videos; learn about getting involved and stay informed.

Prayer Focus – Pray for our leaders of Mission Friends, GAs, RAs, and the children who participate. Did you know the children have been meeting by Zoom each month during the pandemic? Thank you, Mrs. Susan, leaders, children, and parents! Pray for Women on Mission groups: First Tuesday morning and First Wednesday night. Though they can’t meet yet, they continue to pray for missionaries, give to missions, participate in mission projects, and learn about missions throughout the world.

Season of Prayer for North American Missions
During the pandemic, our missionaries display great courage and vision to persist – and even thrive – amid great challenges. When needs in local communities arise, these missionaries step up to bring material help and eternal hope by the grace and power of God. Lives are changed, and you are a significant part of that when you pray and give. Thank you! As our missionaries change course, innovate, and share the gospel, please continue to help them move the mission forward. WMU encourages you to use the Prayer Guides for North American Missions during your personal prayer time and to give to the Annie Armstrong Easter Offering and the Offering for Global Missions. Our goal is $20,000. Annie Armstrong Prayer Guide or Global Missions Prayer Guide
